New · TurboTax Import Builder

Stop retyping your 1099-B.
Build a TurboTax import file in 2 minutes.

Enter your capital-gains transactions once. We generate a TXF file for TurboTax Desktop, a CSV file for TaxAct and your records, and the short- and long-term totals TurboTax Online asks for in summary entry. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Why a TXF file, not a .tax file?

The .tax file is Intuit's undocumented, proprietary format that only TurboTax itself opens. TXF is Intuit's published import format, accepted by TurboTax Desktop. TurboTax Online doesn't accept TXF, so for Online we give you the totals to enter as a summary.
